WOW Jonathon!! I find that your painting is mesmerizing and relaxing. I could watch you for hours. You make it seem so easy. I am very new to painting. Never knew that I had a knack for it. After watching, you have inspired me to try this. Thank you for helping me find the confidence to try new things. .

Let me just suggest (here's an astonishing thought) that people who dont like your work, shouldnt watch you. Yes, you are inviting comment, good and bad, by putting your work out into the world for people to comment on, but maybe what you should do is read the comments, answer the questions, and just go on with what you were doing. And the people who dont like your work can switch to another channel or go shopping for something they like better. We love uou, warts and all, so keep being human and creative. 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Dearest Mark. Having just put my little Chloe(15+ Cocker Spaniel) to sleep only 2 days ago, the pain is still so fresh. I walk around the house looking for her,haven’t picked up any toys, or even her food/water. She had gotten so tired and ill. We adopted her 3+ years ago when my husband was diagnosed with cancer. He died 2 years ago and Chloe and I bonded through separation anxiety. I’m sure that sounds awful, but we have no family members here. So we were all there was. At this point, I have been at the bedside of my mom’s death, my daughter’s death (9 months after my mom) both of my grandparents death, my husband’s death and now Chloe’s death. I held Chloe as she took her last breath. So, Mark, I understand the losses you’ve spoken of and wish for your heart to heal and I can see you will be strong. You and Dennis lean on each other, even if it’s only for a short time. Good luck and God bless you. Thank you.

I admit to being one who makes the horrified face at painted furniture. Mainly because some of the pieces YOU can get ahold of in the UK from 'the bin' are simply more gorgeous (to me) than anything I can get in the US. But it's all about the perspective. This old table, however, I can completely understand WHY you would want/need to paint it. Sometimes, there's just no salvaging the finish.
